How To Get Your Website Onto Page 1 Of Google

Just about every day I get these really silly emails from people pretending they know what they are doing. The emails ask me to put a link from my website to theirs and in exchange they will put a link on their website to mine. They claim this strategy will help us both get ranked higher in Google. What a load of rubbish. If you start getting these emails, congratulations. You have done enough with your web marketing to be found by people, even if they are ignorant people pretending they know a thing or two about internet marketing.

Remember though that throughout this series, there is a point I continue to make. Do not do anything with your internet marketing efforts, unless it adds value to the internet as a whole. The main point with this standard is that if you are adding value to the internet with your marketing strategies, you will never be blacklisted for "cheating". Now I will ask you, what possible value can these link swaps add to the internet? They don't add any value at all! Do they!! So what is the point of this strategy? One word - MANIPULATION.

The search engines wizened up to reciprocal linking years ago anyway, so the strategy does you no favors.
